| Symantec Completes $350M Acquisition of Vontu
Symantec's deal to buy Vontu, announced Nov. 5, comes after a busy few months in the DLP sector. Security rivals McAfee and Trend Micro both made moves of their own, with McAfee announcing plans to buy data encryption provider SafeBoot and Trend Micro declaring its intent to acquire Provilla. Earlier this year, Websense, of San Diego, bought Port Authority for $90 million, and Cisco Systems jumped into the space when it acquired e-mail filter and anti-spam provider IronPort. Read more here about Vontu. Vontu's specialty is combining endpoint and network-based technology to accurately detect and automatically protect confidential data wherever it is stored or used. Symantec officials said the acquisition builds on Symantec's longtime OEM partnership with Vontu and will provide a new component of Symantec's Security 2.0 vision, which shifts the focus of security from simply securing systems and devices to also protecting the information itself.

Vivian Stringer is happy with her team's balance on offense. "They can only shoot threes," she said of Villanova, which shot 10 for 20 from three-point range. ". . . Their offense is a rhythm offense. If you can disrupt it, that's what causes the problem. It's difficult to do because they read so well. But they're not going to break you down. We can execute and get ourselves free for a shot, but we can also break you down." Rutgers (17-2, 7-0 Big East) scored 34 points in the paint and shot 5 for 11 from three-point range.
