Sidewinder G2 is featured and profiled in the special August 7 VARBusiness 'Best of the Midmarket' issue. According to the publication, 'The Sidewinder G2 consolidates all major Internet security functions into one self-defending unified threat management (UTM) system. That's great news for midmarket companies, which need enterprise-class functionality at an affordable price point. Built on Zero-hour Attack Protections, or ZAP, technology, the device defends networks and applications from known and unknown Internet threats, at the same time offering greater manageability and stronger security than typical UTM and firewall appliances.' 'Sidewinder G2 is the most comprehensive security gateway appliance in the world,' said Sami Mulla, Director, Middle East, Secure Computing. 'This recognition underscores our commitment to providing only the best products to our customers and channel partners worldwide.' 'Our midmarket customers look to us to provide the best security solutions,' said Preston Hogue, Information Security Practice manager of Network Computing Architects, a Secure Computing channel partner.
Shot selection key in Boilers' next showdown By Pete DiPrimio
The Boilermakers lead the Big Ten in three-point shooting (44 percent), but are 10th in overall field-goal percentage (39.8). How is that possible? "We make shots when we're open and we don't when they're contested," Painter said. "We take open three-point shots, and we take contested shots (inside the arc)." To explain that, Painter said the Boilers lead the conference in blocking shots (which is in the conference release) and getting shots blocked (which isn't). "It's simple," he said, "but it's something I'm trying to bang through players' heads — take more open shots and less contested shots. "When you go inside and draw two to three people, you have to pass. Sometimes our confidence gets in the way of reality and we try to take on the entire (opposing) team.
Boat show good way to find the right vessel
They seem equally convinced that they struck the best deal possible regarding the financial terms of their purchase. I should tell you that sometimes by the time the shine has dulled on a boat, so has the owner's glowing opinion of its quality and price. Satisfaction can be fleeting, especially when our needs evolve. What does this tell me? It punctuates the point that there is no such thing as the perfect all-around fishing boat. You should own two or three if you want a boat for all seasons. Even if your fishing needs are narrow, bay conditions vary widely. So the lightweight poling skiff that glides easily over shallow calm flats may not be so comfortable or safe when the route to protected waters is choppy and deep. And a stable vessel that slices evenly through choppy surfaces might run aground some distance from your favorite fishing spot or plow through seagrass while getting there.
